How will Times Square be different this year, due to COVID? I can’t imagine people being 6 feet apart. Will they stupidly take everyone’s temperature? Will masks be mandatory?

When I was there, decades ago, the crowd was packed so tightly that you could raise your feet and still be supported by the bodies around you.
