Hello there, I am new to this website and I do hope to learn and share on various topics and discussions. So how is your day doing so far? I would like to ask your thoughts with regards to Tinnitus, anyone had an experience and was able to cure or treat it.
Tinnitus has many, many potential causes and, unfortunately, most of them have no easy treatment.
Still, before going further, you’ll need to elaborate a bit on your tinnitus. Perhaps the most important point to clear up from the get-go is whether the tinnitus affects one ear (or one ear far more than the other) or is pretty much the same on both sides. That question is closely followed by a set of questions which include things like:
is there associated vertigo
is there associated hearing loss
is there pain or discharge from the ear
are there any associated neurological symptoms (e.g. double vision, weakness of the muscles of the face, etc., etc.)
what medications is the person taking
Then, of course, one needs to learn more about the tinnitus itself. What does it sound like? A buzzing? A clicking? A whistling? Is it changing as time goes on? Anything make it better? Anything make it worse or bring it on? Etc., etc.
At this point, maybe, one can start to begin to consider possible causes.
And, The American Tinnitus Association has a web site. (Often, such sufferer-supported sites contain a lot of useful information. I think you might try checking it out before going much further.)
