I haven’t had a day off in almost a month and a half! Tommy two-ties and I have been working HARD trying to finish a huge project, and it has turned out to take WAY longer than we thought for the final stage!
Damn!
I’m tired and need a day off! But I’m not likely to get one for at least a week or so…
Someone pity me! Please!
I need a motherly cuddle, a BJ, a massage, and about 48 hours of sleep!
You think you’re having a rough time, I’m jetlagging badly after a kunta kinte trip to Colorado and California, and I had China Bambina to deal with on the plane.

There, there sweetie. You’re doing wonderfully well and working impressively hard. You’ll reap the rewards and get a well-earned break soon. Your dedication is praise-worthy.
No sympathy from me…we’re in the last stages of a major conversion project. Hours and hours of overtime and very damned few days off. At least you’re working for yourself and will see the profit of your work in your profits…hopefully!
Oh Yeah! Hey, how was your trip, China??
And thanks, Fran! With any luck, and a few days of working until 10 or 11 PM, we should have this thing finished by the end of this week (Please GOD!), and TTT and I should have a chance to take a few days off before the new semester starts and we have to start teaching again!
Sux because all of the other teachers have had the last 2 1/2 months off (travel, etc.), but we have been working the whole time… HARD!
Damn this whole work thing, anyhow! It’s really interfering with my life!!
AND, to top it all off, Astrogirl is leaving tomorrow morning for a business trip to LA!
I’m not sure what you see as a “motherly cuddle”, but I can pat your hand, stroke your brow, and murmur sympathetically. Plus I baked a chocolate cake yesterday, so I could offer you that with a frosty cold glass of milk… Is that motherly enough for ya??
Dude, I’m sure it’ll all be okay. And I’m sure you’ll make tons of money off it.
As for us, 12 hour days, 7 day workweeks, all that stress…what we’ll probably get out of it (besides the chance to work on a better, faster system) is a company shirt, maybe lunch, and a framed certificate saying “thanks for all the hard work.”
