Tissue Organ Size and Weight

Hey All,

I’ve bitten the bullet and started counting calories and working out at the gym at lunch. Over the last six months I’ve gone from 300 to 260, 26% body fat to 21%, and 46 inch waist to 42 inches. I still have a long way to go, but I was curious about organ tissue sizes and such.

Do big people have big organs, bigger than non-overweight people? I see some skinny people and I think, man, they must have the cutest little kidney’s or how did they fit 32 feet of intestines in there?

What’s the skinny?

Well, WAG, but things like the stomach and intestines can grow to acommedate larger eating habits. Overweight people can also have larger hearts, but that’s not a good thing.

Other than that, all the rest should be the same as the cliched skinny person waiting to get out.
