Man, that totally sucks. I am so sorry I had to cancel (I started to say “to miss this” but it sounds like there was nothing to miss) – it was something I was really looking forward to. Instead, here I am in Boone – and I have to get up at 6 and drive to Fayetteville. If the next stretch of road is as pretty as the trip through the mountains from Johnson City, I’m sure I’ll enjoy the drive. Though perhaps not as much if I would if I were starting at a more civilized hour.

Had dinner with evilbeth and the charming evilemmy, who’s extremely well-behaved for a four-year-old. That was fun.
