To rinse or not to rinse

Interesting that the subject of washing and rinsing dishes brings up pets. I had an aunt who always let her cats eat out of “people dishes” on the counter or table. I always thought that was gross. Often she would give the dish a quick run under the tap, a wipe and back into the cupboard. I always hated eating at her house! :eek:
