Perhaps “It’s Okay If Elvis Is A Fan.”
Holy crap, that’s brilliant. I was trying to figure it out myself. Well done!

Hentor, calling other posters “cunt” or telling them to fuck themselves are violations of the Pits language rules. Please avoid doing this in the future.
No warning issued.

Condescending to give my reasoning fits with the condescending tone of the rest of that post.
Example of condescending tone:
“I’m not going to engage in the cold-hearted analysis of modern political campaigning and try to appease the lightweights. I deign my reasoning and you do with it what you please. I believe this election will be waged on the terms of “demographic warfare.” If that term gets your panties in a bunch, read elsewhere. You’re a lightweight.”
That is classic condescension, thus assuring the word was perfectly suited, to a T.
Your comprehension is more than a little off. It’s laughable hypocrisy if you choose only one team to denounce for it. And downright silly if you go on to demand harsh punishment for people whom the targeted investigation cleared.
Please give generously to the Belichick Derangement Syndrome Foundation.
Good g-d, it’s too early for your stupid fucking douchebaggery.
Can we get an Elvis Rule? Sorta like the Reeder rule except Elvis cant have anything posted on the front page until a reasonable hour when folks have had a chance to get a cup of coffee, syringe of herion, pipe of meth, <insert drug of choice> and, pending seeing his inanity, a chance to open a vein.
Ah, so that description was about what makes it allowable to call something cheating, and not what constitutes cheating. I suppose it’s possible to read it that way, but reading it the other way is quite reasonable, and you ought to take a look at your own communication skills rather than accuse others of poor comprehension.
Looking on from the outside, that whole deflated football thing just seems like a whole load of butthurt nonsense. Page after page of frothing sanctimony about such a trivial issue, its hard not to suspect that it is only driven by a more general butthurtedness towards the Patriots.
So to have an “I told you so” thread when the official findings seem to indicate nothing but another load of sweet fuck all, well, thats just kinda sad.
The balls might have been a little flat, Brady likes them a little flat, but who gives a fuck? Crowing about this issue just makes you look like a tit.
I could argue that Brady gave a fuck, because he apparently lied to the press, to the public, to Belichick, to Kraft, and to Ted Wells.
Did you miss the hypocrisy and selectivity stuff, or is that simply too inconvenient for you? Shorter version: Cut the shit.
Belichick Derangement Syndrome is a terrible disease. An entertaining one too, though.
Ya know, I might not necessarily disagree with this except it IS a rule in the NFL rulebook and, actually,a rule Brady, himself, introduced and pushed for (along with Peytron Manning).
ETA: also the wording is weaselly because a) lawyers and b)the goal of the report per the NFL was to find probable cause. The NFL said find probable cause and the committee came back and said, “Yup, probable cause.”
That was my initial reaction, but if you go back and read the thread in question you’ll see that the crowing is justified. It’s pages and pages of “nothing happened and you are stupid if you even suggest otherwise!”
It is amazing how much vindication some folks are getting after the report found their organization cheated…
Precisely. Not only did the proffered explanations grow increasingly more desperate (e.g., "maybe they inflated the balls in a sauna!), the personal attacks grew increasingly desperate as well.
Anyone reading this as gloating, or as “I told you so” isn’t bothering to comprehend before writing. If you struggle to get it, just look at TaylorSw1ft’s, I mean ElvisL1ves smarmy shit sucking attitude in this thread alone.
The report itself says I told you so.
I am saying … well, things I’ve been admonished not to say.
I would suggest that the NFL and the Owners “give a fuck”, you know, since thy made a rule about what pressure the game balls needed to be at.
What constantly astonishes me is now angry and nasty people are over this thing (on both sides). It’s a bunch of grown men chasing after a ball. Some of those grown men made it a little easier for their side to chase the ball.
I like sports. I like football. But dear lord, people, get some perspective.
As someone who has very little invested in this particular dispute*, I would like to ask you not to trot out that nonsense again. “Oh, it’s just chasing a ball,” shows a lack of perspective on your part. No, it’s not as important as foreign policy or global warming or civil rights, but that doesn’t make it unimportant. It’s a multibillion dollar industry and an integral part of our culture. Nobody bitches about the teaching of English literature in schools on the grounds that “The Great Gatsby is just a bunch of fictional rich people whining.”
*I dislike the Patriots, but I respect what they’ve accomplished and don’t like the Ravens or Colts either. I didn’t much care if Brady had cheated. My position here is almost entirely based on how much the pro-Patriots side acted like jerks in the original thread.
I think you can tell a lot about a poster when they’re proven wrong. Some posters admit their mistakes and move on. Some posters just run away and hide, and hope it blows over. And then there are ones like ElvisL1ves, who simply ignore the fact they’ve been completely and utterly wrong, and then double down on being a douchebag to anyone who points it out. I can’t tell if he’s somehow delusional about the facts, doesn’t care about being forthright, or if he’s just a douchebag all the way down to his core.
I’m betting its the last one.
I think it’s more probable than not that it’s the last one.
