Did anyone else watch this last night? They had Cloris Leachman and Mel Brooks as two of the panelists and it was hilarious.
I almost avoided opening this for fear of spoilers. I recorded the show and didn’t know who the panelists were.
I just might leave work and head home ASAP. Can’t wait.
DVR’d it. We’ll watch it this evening, I expect.
I’ve never seen this show, even the older versions.
I would prefer to see Mel Brooks and Cloris Leachman on a full panel show, like QI or something.
Is that the host’s actual mother? Is she in every episode? I have no idea what is going on with that.
Mel(naturally) is funny, but I find myself mystified by the rest of the show. Host-guy exaggerates his laughs so much, it feels incredibly forced.
Anyway, I love panel shows, but find this one kind of odd. I will admit, it has a neat premise. I prefer Would I Lie To You?, which also (obviously) features lying.
I don’t get the thing with the mother either. I think she’s annoying and useless. She used to keep the score but now she doesn’t do anything. And, unfortunately, she is in every episode.
I think they believe she is cute because she makes jokes and says things in a kind of blunt way. It’s a cute concept in small doses. If they brought out three ladies and said only one is the host’s mother, it’d be a neat moment to try and guess.
Sitting there making comments? She’s distracting and unnecessary.
