To the Losers of the Election, I have something I'd like to get off my chest.

Please remove your signs from your front lawns.
Winners are allowed to leave their signs up until a week after the inauguration, IMHO. But, the Maverick and the Alaskan Dipstick LOST. M’kay?

THANK you for your cooperation in this matter.

So am I therefore allowed to punch people who still have Gore/Liberman and Kerry/Edwards stickers on their cars?

I suggest reading the part in large bold font again.

Really? Cool! See, my various Obama '08 signs (including this really cool one with his name in Hebrew) weren’t delivered to me until after the election, and I’ve been trying to figure out just how gauche it would be for me to still put them in my windows (as I have no lawn) until the inauguration.

Okay…I just might be able to pull this off without totally looking like a dork. No, really, I’m serious.

I did. I suggest that if signs aren’t to be left on front lawns, then stickers should be taken off of cars.

My grandma is still rocking a Dole/Kemp sticker.

I don’t care what the fuck you say, my “No on 8” ain’t going anywhere.

I’d suggest keeping her away from Lord Ashtar (unless, of course, she’s left you a big inheritance in her will, then you might want to introduce the two of them ;)).

In Nevada it’s up to local municipalities to determine how long campaign signs can be displayed. For most places, tho, I think it’s 30 days after the election; ostensibly this gives a campaign enough time to be able to drive around and remove them.

Not that it actually happens, mind you. But that’s the way it’s written.

Seems to me that if I had been on the losing side, I’d want to stop reminding people about my poor decision making skills ASAP… OTOH, said people already have shown they have poor decision making skills, so maybe they think it’s a great idea to leave them up, to show they support the underdog or something.

I do not understand the double standard asserted in the OP. Why should the losers take down the signs if the winners are allowed to keep theirs up?

-FrL-

'Cause she’s a poor fucking winner and this is just her way of saying “neener, neener”.

Cram it in your cram hole, Shirls.

No, no. The OP only means the “unpopular” losers. Ain’t Democracy great?

Cause lord knows the best person always wins.
Just when I think childish partisanship has gone as far as it can go…

…you take it to the next level with your thin-skinned whining?

No, I shake my head at people who can only see “us” and “them.”

Don’t have a lawn sign. Didn’t vote the way you think.

This message is brought to you by the same people who still claim that Bush stole the election.

Nope. Take 'em ALL down. Lawn signs don’t belong up at Thanksgiving.

Hebrew Obama sign??? Awww, I want one. :frowning:

I agree. No need to keep rubbing the victory in their faces. I will make an exception for “No on 8”.

Ya know what, last time I was the loser. I left my sign up for a week and a half and would have left it up longer but it interfered with leaf-raking. I still have the Kerry bumper sticker on my car.
