Can anyone complete the theme song from this '60s cartoon show about a savior robot (Tobor spelled drawkcab)?
–Thanx
~ ~ ~ ~
~ ~ from outer space
~ ~ a giant monster
To destroy the human race
The FBI is helpless [Note: This line was easy to remember]
It’s 20 stories tall
What can we do, who[m] can we call?
Call Tobor the 8th Man!
Tobor the 8th Man!
If you want to listen to it, there’s .wav file on this page called 8th-man.wav.
Damn you, Fear Itself… Damn you to hell!!! I thought I was the only one who remembered that song.
FWIW, as a child in Japan", my wife remembers “8th man” belts, which had a secret compartment in the buckle which held chocolate cigarettes
Fear Itself

to ? the human race
the FBI is helpless
he’s twenty stories tall
what can we do, who can we call?
Tobor, the 8th man!
Tobor, the 8th man!
<something> strong Tobor,
the mightiest <something> of them all!
Oops, does that constitute a copyright violation too?
I was trying to see how much I could remember of it without reading anyone else’s recollection, so I didn’t read the thread first.
:o
Thanx for the lynx! And Fear Itself,…that IS pretty scary. A few years ago, it would have been merely a ridiculous flight of fancy to suppose one could actually locate and possess a recording of the theme song from an obscure cartoon show defunct for a third of a century, on a casual whim, without an absurdly exhaustive and expensive search. Here it’s less than 20 minutes to hear it, and around 300 seconds to possess the lyrics. Sorry but my jaw is adhered to the floor.
Finally it can be said as of this instant: The Internet is without question the greatest invention since planets.

Ooops, sorry DrMatrix, got carried away. Warning acknowledged.
No clue what’s up with the triple posting…excuse me
I got a big chuckle out of the triple post extolling the virtues of the Internet. Looks like it’s not quite perfect yet
