I can’t get the game to run on my computer now, but evidently today’s Google Doodle, which celebrates the 155th anniversary of the Pony Express, has a game that you start by clicking the arrow in the “O” of “Google”:

Here’s a brief article on the Pony Express that I thought was interesting. I didn’t realize it was such a brief lived failure.
Did anyone else go back and deliberately run into hazards they avoided the first time, just to see what the animation would be? The barrels were my favorite.

Yep! I did the barrels, the snowfall and the bandits, just for fun.
But come on, people, it’s a game - what were your scores? I got up to 58 once, but haven’t got close since. I wonder if anyone has made it to 100.
I was amused by that as well.

92 was my best, I think. (Three runs, not counting the one where I was deliberately running into everything in sight.)

It took maybe 4 tries. The worst part is the second leg where you have to remember which way to go and no reflexes can save you.
My high score was 60 so far.
I, too. Scored 25, glaring horse at the end, and 50, smiling horse at the end.

Perhaps on a 25 MHz XT, I could make a perfect score.

Hah. I feel the same way - when I started playing, it reminded me a bit of Frogger, which I actually did play on a 25MHz XT.
34 was my highest score. the lasso guy hiding in the rocks was interesting. the barrels were the most fun.
