What is with the new trend of using gray for text? And I don’t mean dark gray or merely title text, I mean pages like this- which not only uses gray for text, but does so on a gray background! What exactly is the thinking there? Only people with superhuman sight and large screens get to read this information? We are more about soothing tones than being readable? This is a test and we want you to fail?
Since the dawn of the web there have certainly been a lot of very questionable color and design choices, some probably worse than this. But this is 2011. But at this point most of the truly insane web design decisions only live in the Wayback Machine, don’t they?
PS: I titled this Whyiny Grumble because the question is unanswerable, so I’m just grumbling and whining about it.
