Word of advice, Ellen… get the adjustable kind.
I’ve got no problems with toe rings, but I find toenail polish to be quite revolting. What’s the point? (Of course I know that others don’t find it revolting, otherwise it wouldn’t be so widespread.
That’s widespread in the sense of popular, of course…
Why’s that, Shayna? Aren’t they sized, like finger rings, and you just get the one that fits your piggie?
Thill, I didn’t know anyone could find polish revolting! I think it’s just like necklaces, earrings, toe rings and other things we wear: it’s all decoration. My toenail polish is usually a neutral color.
Nope, they don’t quite work that way, Ellen. Look at how much bigger the ends of your toes are than the rest of them. Your fingers aren’t like that - they’re pretty much the same all the way from tip to the base. You’ll have a heck of a hard time getting one that fits the part of your toe you want to wear it on, over the top of your toe. And getting it off is an even bigger PITA. They make adjustable ones that have an opening in the back so you can spread it a little bigger to get it over the end of your tootsie. Then just squeeze it together to tighten. 
Well if it’s clear polish, just to make them shiny, I guess I’d have no problem with that. It’s just the colored nails that give me the creeps. But then again I have problems with most kinds of noticable make-up as well. I guess I go more for the natural look.
I don’t think toe rings would bother me, though.
