I just want to add another “toe jam is the stuff between your toes” vote.

The stuff under your toenails doesn’t have a name, but if it did, it would be “toenail cheese”.

The preferred term is Toenail Curd. This is due to the frequent presence of lactobacilli in the material, and its characteristic odor. It is seen frequently in dairy workers.

You sir, are a veritable font of useless knowledge. And I mean that in the very best way.

Every once in a while I get a mild ingrown toenail. It’s usually not serious but it’s a real bugger. If you don’t ever have that problem, then I suppose theres no issue, but the advice I have always read was not to cut your nails too short.
