Toilet seat up? Who cares?

I think it is not only toilet seat but also the lid or cover that should be normally down if only for aesthetic reasons. I guess the same as you keep the kitchen cabinets closed unless you need to open them. Then you can sit on it or leave clothes or whatever on it while it is not being used. Not to mention that an open toilet is a place where things will fall into when you least want them to.

I always just thought you left things the way they were suppose to be when not in use, seat and lid down, drawers and doors closed.

I use to fight with one of the kids all the time because he left a trail behind him of half closed drawers, open cabinet doors, microwave door never closed and the refrigerator door was seldom closed all the way. He never had time to put things back the way they were.
