tomndebb, please explain why I was noted for saying Jew-bros.

You think that’s hard, try coming up with one for the Belgians.

Monty Python had a contest: http://youtu.be/PrvXoin9NcA

Nope. Of course, that’s not what I said.

I’m sure you and I have very different social media spheres.

No, I’m not going to link you to my social media feed.

There might be. Evidence says not, though. When the bad chapters occur from California to Florida and Illinois to Texas, and the flyover bits inbetween, I’d say “shitty” can be applied to the whole frat, yes.

I’m sure your personal frat experience trumps the numerous cited violations. Go ahead, enlighten me…

I’m happy to attack Kappa all you like.

I don’t sort by religion, I ignore by proven record of shittiness and focus on the hopefully redeemable - AEPi not having quite the record for shittiness that PiKE does, and their immediate positive response to being called out, makes them a more appropriate target for directing ire at. PiKE is a lost cause.

You’re not familiar with the “es-ex factor”, are you? It’s the idea behind “I can say this, but you can’t.”

To quote the folklorist Roger Welsch,

When Leo Bloom says to his friends “Yo, Jewbro!”, he’s acknowledging his own membership in the disparaged class, and thus turning the slur back onto itself with irony. If I say “Yo, Jewbro!” to Leo Bloom, I may be attempting to do the same thing. Or I may be using it non-ironically and thus pejoratively. Since I’m not Jewish, Leo has no way of knowing. Thus I’m better avoiding it.

So blacks can say “nigga” but whites can’t; Jews can call each other “yids” but goyim can’t; gays can use “Nancy”, but straights can’t. We all do this - it’s why Oakminster (who’s from Mississippi) can use “redneck” without offending me; but you can’t.

Actually, I suspect Dibble would not feel much guilt about using the term Rooinek, though I might be wrong.

Most racists, however, just lump them in with “blacks.”

I am. But some of those social media hits are also non-Jews (I gather - unless all the Blacks and Asians were Jews which is … possible but unlikely) referring to their Jewish friends with that hashtag.

Most racists are dumb.

I wouldn’t use it, actually - there are much more salty things to call Anglo-South Africans should I want to.

However, I have no problem calling American rednecks, rednecks. But I don’t use “White trash” anymore.

That is awesome. So you’ve got secret sources, eh, that prove the culpability of the Jews? Atta boy!

This, too, is awesome. This is the angle you ought to play up – those Jews should be FLATTERED you insulted them. It was actually quite a compliment as the guys you really hate you simply ignore. Let those Jews know that for real contempt, you remain silent; but those you sorta like, you call names. Sounds like a solid plan. I like the way you think!

Of course. That doesn’t mean that racists don’t consider them black.

Pygmies, of course, would be considered “black” by almost everyone, even if you don’t. So would (for example) Somalis, who have similar skin tones to Khoisan.

I am an artist, or, at least, I went to art school. Mixing greys browns and purples to get the exact hue of a “black” persons skin is a lot lot more interesting than trying to mix white pink and orange to get “white” people’s skin tone.

Amen, brother! Don’t you hate those poor people who work outside and end up with suntans and sunburns? Those poor people are always hanging around our cool places, pooring them up with their poor people shit. It’s like, “Hey Redneck! It’s 2015, can’t you get a job with air conditioning?!” Those rednecks are the worst.

Hey, if Yakub hadn’t made them so damn pale, they wouldn’t burn - take it up with him, not me.

Erm, no, their name on the poster proves the culpability of the Jewish frat. But I’m not going to link to my chat feed because it’s my damn private chat feed.

I told you (general you), I’m not Black…

I never said they should be flattered. Shame seems to have worked well enough.

dunno if serious or joking…

“atta boy!” is orginarily used in non-racial ways. I doubt the poster used it to insult you, well, not to insult you as a Black, anyway.

Joking.

I know Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks doesn’t like the word “thug.” But I thought most people kind of brushed that off because he was wrong about the word’s meaning. Thug isn’t used exclusively for black people.

There is plenty of evidence that “thug” is becoming or has become racially charged.

what allways seems to escape the people who insist that it is not a racist term:

How can “thug” apply to a trash talking football player? What sort of criminality is involved in playing football?

I don’t watch football. I didn’t know people were calling football players thugs. I’ve only used the word for violent criminals or violent miscreants.

yes, he sounds angry. but since when does being angry make someone a “criminal”?
