Tomorrow is new grandbabby day for kam!

My darling daughter (who has already given me the gift of a bonza grandson, Zennie, now 2.5 yrs old) is having another little fella tomorrow via a scheduled caesarean. Because the baby-daddy is somewhat removed from proceedings at the moment, she’s asked me to be her cheerleader at the birthing.

I’ve never been in an operating theatre before (well, never conscious) and I’m a bit freaked by the prospect, but sooooooo excited at the same time.

Bring on the baby babe: let him cry loud and strong, and may his suck reflex be as good as yours was when you were a wee little tike.

Updates tomorrow.

You’ll be cheering at a caesar? Thats like, what “go the anaesthetist, go?”

Way to go Granny!

Having been there, done that three times, the really cool bit is that as Dad I got an hours of quality time/imprinting/bonding whilst Mums recovering in post-op.

Congratulations! I wish you all the very best!

Good luck and congratulations Kam! Hope all goes smoothly

New grandbabys are so much fun! Congratulations to you and your darling daughter.

Our newest little fella arrived at 10.30am this morning, bellowing loudly about the sheer indignity of being shoved out of his comfy home. As yet he is still to be named.

He’s great, mum is tired, and I’m completely buggered. We’ve got the other little bloke to look after now whilst mum recuperates…five days with a two-year old.

Wish me luck.
