That’s a fun little tool/diversion (and part of a more comprehensive browser-based music production suite featuring various drum machines, synths and effects).
It’s conceptually interesting to essentially draw music, using one’s ear as a guide in real time. This isn’t new, of course - MIDI sequencing having been around for a few decades - but now it’s available for free to the masses in one’s internet browser.
This other site’s got a lot of interesting ambient noise generators. Have both websites open in different tabs/windows and one could create some cool soundscape journeys!
