He may very well do that, but I perused a few links starting from the bottom of the list, and the people he called apologists were Mr. Moto and Stephe96, neither of which squat anywhere near the middle of the ground very often. The others were directed at hypothetical apologists, etc.
note, please for the record, that he hasn’t been back to defend his OP.
If nothing at all else, I think it’s a cheap shot to call out another poster and then leave for a while. If you weren’t gonna have an ability to post again for a while, wait to post the thread- especially in this sort of case where it’s an agregate total of aggrivation, vs. a specific egregious post.
My specific problem with rjung isn’t his use of ‘apologist’, as in ‘Bush apologist’. Sure, its annoying after the 100th time, but what the hell…the guy IS a one trick pony after all and I doubt he’d deny it himself.No, MY problems is the fact that the use of ‘Bush apologist’ seems to be his default setting for ‘you disagree with me you evil bastard!’. Usually delivered in a one or two line fact free drive by posting and used as a dig to the poster he is ‘debating’ with to try and paint said poster with rjungs famous broad brush.
I think THAT is what annoys the OP…though he hasn’t been back to respond as yet so maybe I’m off base. Its certainly what bakes MY noodle about rjung though.

Apparently, you didn’t check very well, or checked selectively. I scanned most of the fourteen from last year, and in several I was quoting another post, another issue, or making a joke.
Now, if we are to apply the same criteria to rjung that you did to me and search without time limits you get 160 examples.

Bear in mind that “liar” is a pretty common word, especially in political discussion. “Bush lied,” “Bush is a liar” “Lies and they lying liars,” most everybody has used the word or quoted it many times. “Apologist” is a much more granular term than liar, and hence uncommon, so 160 is quite an achievement.
