I vehmently disagree with his politics and I didn’t like his support of an administration I believe to be, at minimum, criminally incompetent, but I never disliked him as a person. I always thought if I had the proverbial beer with him, we could have a reasonable discussion.
I hope he died with as little pain and as much dignity as possible. I wish his family well.

Agreed. He seemed to be a generally agreeable fellow who just happened to be wrong about everything that matters in the public sphere. He didn’t seem to come by it out of a sense of meanness, like some in his circle.
So… I’d say Godspeed, but I’m an atheist, so I guess, I hope he decomposes gracefully or something.
