I’ve always rolled my eyes at the “free Tookie” crowd, but this Post article makes the evidence for his conviction seem pretty thin, to put it generously. Way too thin to support the death penalty IMO. Do any dopers know any facts about this case?
Note: I’d rather not turn this into a generic debate on the death penalty (which I have come to oppose, FTR). I’m just seeing if anyone knows any more on this case than the Post article. Since it’s pretty controversial I’m putting this here rather than in GQ.
