Around the 6:03 mark. It’s a spring loaded punch. All of the ones I find online are for breaking glass. This one doesn’t seem to be that.

That’s an old timey automatic center punch. I haven’t seen one in decades. You can get the modern equivalent at Home Depot or a real good one from a machinists tool supply house. They are adjustable to deliver whatever impact you need. Dennis
He’s using a Spring Tool. They have a line of spring loaded punches and similar tools. I use that center punch a lot.
I’ve got one. It was made by Starrett, not cheap, but you won’t find a better one.
Ok, looked at the video. I’ve never seen one like that, it’s pretty flimsy compared with what I’ve got. I use it for layout on metal, especially sheet metal.

I’ve traditionally used a hammer and punch for precision or an automatic for convenience, but now I want one of these, too!
I’ve got two sets of the Spring Tools purchased in the past at woodworking shows. They work well withing their limitations. The nail sets work very well.
