toothless

my front tooth snapped off and my dentist ground down the remaining visible bit to my gum and had a false tooth made I cannot wear this and have considered taking all the extra resin off and glueing the remainder to what is left of my root… any ideas ??

If it was as simple as gluing a piece on with houehold glue, dentistry would be a lot simpler and cheaper. The stress on a tooth in use is fairly high. Generally, the guy should have done a root canal and stuck a metal post in there to hold the crown.

Of course, a gap in the teeth is also a fashion statement of some sort, depending on the image you are trying to provide.

If the dentists (I assume) made a tooth, how is it un-usable.

Miscellaneous observations: I knew a Siberian Yupik woman who had no front teeth. She said it was a cultural thing to remove them and showed me pictures. I cannot find any pictures on the internet. Have you ever heard of anything that could not be referenced on the internet?

The OP reads like a situation that require a bridge.

Can an implant support a front tooth?

I had lots of relatives with no teeth.

Advice on do-it-yourself dentistry is best suited for IMHO.

What kind of glue did you have in mind, tanglefoot?

either super glue or araldite lol

I did forget to mention it was already a crown with the old tooth still in and there was no root canal treatment

If the bone is strong, you might be able to get an implant. If not, think about pulling it. And maybe the other front tooth and have them do a bridge, dentures or other options your dentist has to offer.

Speaking from personal experience on this one.
