I’m a little confused. Do you mean romantically linked couples? Some of these are duos, but I didn’t hear about Paul and Simon getting their groove or, nor Shane and Kirsty (who was married to 80s super producer Steve Lillywhite, which is potentially the coolest romantic couple in this thread).
Do you have a link to confirmation of this? All I’ve seen were unspecified rumors, and word of denials from both of them. (Mould’s recent biography is probably a good place to start.)
I hear ya, but who really knows how many wife-beaters there are on this list? We really can’t consider anything that happens offstage for what’s “cool.” To wit: Ike and Tina Turner. Nobody was cooler onstage.
or Delaney and Bonnie.
.
It’s okay to have John and Yoko, but no mention of Paul and Linda? What criteria are we using?
Ringo and Barbara Bach?
I’ve got it! Mick Jagger and David Bowie!
Ashford and Simpson.

I always thought Paul and Linda McCartney were so cool. They seemed like they not only loved each other but they actually liked each other
