Top 5 Must Have CD's of 2000 are...?

I did some more digging and I found out that Neko Case is released on Bloodshot records in the 'States

Awesome pick. It was on my list too. in no particular order;

  1. Dillinger four - versus god
  2. Digger - Monte Carlo
  3. Hot Water Music - No Division (I think it was in 2000)

That’s all i can come up with right now…slow year for music

The top 5 albums of 2000:

Vertical Horizon- Everything You Want
Sting- Brand New Day
Matchbox 20-Mad Season
Radiohead-Kid A
U2-All That You can’t Leave Behind

Here’s some more:

Shellac - “1000 Hurts”
Oxes - s/t
Trans Am - “Red Line”

that’s only 3…well, one more -

I’ll second that praise for the Pinback album.

I got that shellac album, and thought it was better than the last one but still not great. I haven’t been blown away with them since At Action Park was released. I didn’t know there was a new TransAM out though, I’m interested to hear that. They are consistently good and interesting.

Definitely Vertical Horizon – “Everything You Want”…an amazing album.
Bare Nake Ladies – “Maroon”
Matchbox Twenty – “Mad Season”
3 Doors Down – “The Better Life”
Fuel – “Something Like Human”
Kristine

My choices are:

  1. Vertical Horizon- Everything you want
  2. Creed- Human Clay
  3. Barenaked Ladies- Maroon
  4. Savage Garden- Affirmation
  5. Vertical Horizon- Live Stages

They’re sorta old and there are 6 of them, but they’re really good:
-“White Pony” by Deftones
-“Bring Your Own Stereo” and “Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope” by Jimmie’s Chicken Shack
-“Life is Peachy” by Korn
-“Dookie” by Greenday
and this one has already been mentioned, but:
-“S&M” by Metallica and the San Fransisco Symphony\

i’ve got two more to add:
Einsturzende Neubauten-Silence is Sexy
Coil-Constant Shallowness Leads

Cock like a Stallion, Iron will.

I love that album. Although Uranus was pretty good too,as was Terraform. Yeah, not as good as Action Park though.

Mad Season by Matchbox 20 is the only CD I actually bought this year…but I think I’ll check out the Johnny Cash CD…
