Topic vanishes after reading - is this by design?

I generally go to New Topics when I log in. I’ve noticed that after I read a topic, it vanishes from the original list. Is this by design?

Maybe you’re sorting by “Unread”?

Once you’ve read it, it’s no longer “New”. New = Unread by you.

Try going to Latest instead of New.

I’ve also noticed you can “mute” a thread, which means you never see it again, unless you go to settings and look at your list of muted threads.

Yes. You can even mute an entire forum. (Hasta la pasta, Marketplace!)

Muted fora, though, still show up as a list — but at the bottom, and without the first few threads listed.
