In the mid-late 70s, full-sized customized vans were huge (literally & figuratively).
Topps, IIRC, released a series of trading cards featuring different models. For some reason, I was fascinated by these behemoths and had quite a few of the cards. I would love see them again.
My Google-fu is lacking in an attempt to find these.
Oh, man! I remember those. I don’t think they were Topps, and if you’re talking about the ones I’m thinking of, they had more than vans (I distinctly remember a purple half-motorcycle, half-50’s hotrod). I’m pretty sure I still have some buried in a box at my parents’ house (4 states away).
I gave it a go, using what little I remember. Tried “kustom kars”. No go, but I did end up coming across this: mymummy.com '60s non-sports trading cards. There’s an entry under “kustom cars” that has 45 stickers. The reason I point it out is that it mentions George Baris, and I remember that name and it might inspire you for new terms to search on. I’m giving up already…
