ToT?

I have noticed lately that alot of semi tractor-trailers have the letters “ToT” marked on them in the back in one way or another (usually spraypainted or just whiped clean in the dirt).

Any body know what the TOT really stands for? 'Net searches dont come up with anything relevant.

acronymfinder.com does not have any probable answers, IMHO, but I do like, “Transportation of Things”.

ToT graffiti???

At first I thought it was just grafitti. But I saw it so much that it couldnt possibly be. I thought maybe it was just a loading dock person(s) having fun, but it appears on tanker trucks, semi-trailers, and if I recall correctly, on a bread delivery truck. Too much to be coincidental

from an acronym finder:

Telephone Organization of Thailand
Terms of Trade
Time Of Transmission
Time of Travel
Time On/Over Target
Tooth of Time (Philmont Scout Ranch)
Tourist Organization of Thailand
Tower of Terror
Trade-Off Technique
Training of Trainers
Transfer Of Training
Transportation Of Things
Turbine Outlet Temperature
Turned Over To

“Transportation Of Things” could apply, but it’s silly. If this is the meaning, why? It has to have a secondary meaning to it.

Plus it’s spraypainted or written in the dirt, which means it’s probably not an official acronym. Maybe it’s a truckers union?

Where are you seeing this? Here in the Detroit area, some guys on a local station had “Throw 'em Out Thursdays” where women were asked to flash and people would call in to tell where they saw flashers. Then it went down to having women flash people with TOT on their vehicles.

GTPhD1996, have you seen these trucks too? I’m also from the Detroit area and drive 100 miles a day for my commute. I frequently see these TOT trucks on M-14 near Ann Arbor, et al.

Tot- Throw em’ out Thursdays

Started by radio hosts Kramer and Twitch in Detroit. They don’t do it anymore though. They actually used to have “sightings” of where chics were flashing and give out the location. Of course, I was never lucky enough to pass by one of those locations.

Hmm. I wonder what came first, ToT, or WoW (Whip 'Em Out Wednesdays). This was a few years back on a Boston station with Opie and Anthony, who later got fired for a prank gone wrong (telling the mayor’s family that he had been killed). I believe they were the same idiots who had a contest in NYC to see who would have sex in St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

Me? I haven’t seen it at all. I’m going by what the OP said.

Sorry Dan

I thought you were the OP

GTPhD1996

Yes. Once K&T when to evenings, ToT stopped. Now, K&T are gone. Yesterday was their last show. Unless it is one of their pranks again.
