Quick question: does anyone know how big this year’s graduating class from US colleges is (the undergraduate class of 2004)?
If it’s easier, how about the number of people graduating high school this year?
According to The Census, there are about 16,497,000 people currently enrolled in college. (See the first table linked to on that page.) That includes two-year colleges, as per the definition on this page. So we may safely estimate that the number of people graduating college this year is something less than 16,497,000 / 4.
Of course, a significant portion of those graduating high school do not go to college.
