Is the surviving boat one of those Viking cruise line boats I see in ads all the time?
Yes.
i find it fascinating that the fact it was a Viking ship was buried in the Times article. I know these clowns send me a brochure about every other day, but what hold do they have on news organizations. There have been no quotes from Viking that I’ve seen. The captain, from Odessa, was arrested. The coverage so far has almost made it seem like this was an act of god. Very weird.
They send me brochures 2x/day too. I wonder if this means the frequency will be reduced?
well when 20=40 percent of your travel section is their advertising and handwritten stories…
It’s right up front in the linked video.
I saw this story two days ago, while my parents were in Amsterdam, about to fly to Budapest…for a Danube River cruise…freaked me right out…
Perhaps the best $7.00 or $8.00 (U$D) you can ever spend in all of Europe is an hour-long “City Lights” night cruise on the Danube when visiting Budapest.
The city is stunningly beautiful, truly majestic, and enjoying a couple glasses of Hungarian wine (included in the cost of the trip) in the fresh night air with a dozen different languages being spoken around you is something you will remember for the rest of your life.
That said, I cannot imagine a more terrifying way to die, in a frenzy of chaos and panic, likely having a few agonizing minutes to process that you will soon be slipping into the dark, frigid water with almost no hope of survival.
Those poor people.
