I got news that someone I know may have been in a serious accident over the weekend. My husband said that a sailboat belonging to our friend was found overturned in the Hudson River and he has not been seen for several days at his apartment.
All I’m asking is if anyone has read about this in the paper (if it would even make the papers) or if anyone has a web link with any more info. Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me remember his last name (I’m friends with his ex, and she does not use his last name). His first name is Tom.
I know that isn’t much to go on, but if anyone recalls reading about this, just let me know. I’m coming up empty trying to find any info about an overturned boat in the Hudson with a missing person. (Although, who knows if that sort of thing gets reported anyway).

still no word. They are definately fearing the worst. It is extremely unlike him to just disappear, and there is still no sign of him at his apartment or at work.

I’m going to hope that he washed up on shore Monday morning, having lost only his memory and not his life.
Is there anything you or someone else can do to prod the search along? Have they dragged or sent divers down in that part of the river?
Well, unfortunately the worst turned out to be true. They called off the search for him and have said that the cold water may be keeping him “under”. In the spring when it warms they expect to find him. They are considering him deceased and are having services next week. A big shake up for our group of friends and a damned shame.
