You drive a car, therefore you are beholden to the government for your drivers license, and for the registration of your car. What’s that, you don’t think drivers should have to be licensed? What’s going to happen when the first unlicensed and uninsured idiot plows into your car and seriously injures you?

The universe obeys certain physical laws (laws in the specific scientific sense, not a legal one). We don’t have a 100% handle on them, and we know that.
And even that paper describes physics at the boundaries. Everyday gravity still works the way we expect.
Seems like you wish to conflate two different terms that are spelled the same. A physical law is jargon. It’s physics jargon. Your so-called ‘natural’ law and our legal system use a different piece of jargon. Why try to conflate them?
Unlike a law passed by man, we can’t violate the physical laws of the universe. That’s part of the definition of a physical law and why it’s jargon. You can violate you ‘natural’ laws or even laws passed in our legal system. You cannot, by definition, violate a law of the universe. If it appears you have, you are either mistaken about the violation or we are mistaken about the physical law.
Man’s law is the highest order. There is no god, nor would I follow him if he were to exist. Man is here, man is tangible, man creates and shapes the world. It is to men you are held accountable and it is by men in which you would be punished, put in fined, jailed, or worse, when you break Man’s law. The 10 commandments are inadequate, and limited, and know no nuance. What if I had to lie to save a child, or kill to protect myself? The commandments do not address that, they are stupid, childish, a product of simple people desiring simple times. And I could tell you why the state forces you to wear seat belts, but you would neither understand nor accept the reason, so there is no point in explaining it to you. You and I are both owned by others, in part, because no man is an island. You don’t have to accept that or understand it, but you do have to behave as if that’s true, because it is and any deviation from that will get you punished by men who are more powerful than you. That is reality and you can do nothing about it no matter the words you try to use to describe yourself, you will always be subjected to Man’s law

- Gasoline tax alone does not pay for the building and maintainance of the road.
- I did look it up. Interest on the debt is less than 6.1% of the US spending.
- So you received the benefits of a free public education? Why didn’t that enter you into a contract with the state?
- Does the Sheriff’s office provide you with safety and protection of you and your land?
So in short, if you want to be a Freeman of the land are you prepared to do one of two things:
- Give up ALL benefits of being a US citizen include access to anything off of your property such as public roads.
or - Pay the true cost of the benefits you use which I can guaranty is more than you pay in taxes. You can start by reimbursing your state for the cost of your education.
I first heard of these FMOTL people on the Randi forum a while ago, and my impression is that it’s a big thing in Australia. Not sure about that, but our friend marcmcroy here called people “mate” and talked about “honour” so that makes me think that he probably didn’t attend school in the US.
