Did you see Jim Cary’s “Yes Man” movie? Do you remember that supercool “wheely” suits he and his girlfirend try going down a long hill? It’s kinda like being a human luge! Anyway, is there really such a thing? Seems to me it’d be all the rage. …So, just how do you stop, anyhow?
It’s real.

I don’t know anywhere that you could get a decent amount of use for something like that without being a menace to society. From the linked video, it appears to being very difficult to control your movements. The lines that he was taking through those corners was horrendous, and even on the straights he often was very close to wandering over the yellow line.
That outfit would work well on an treadmill with a virtual route on a screen before you. Throw in some synchronized robotics for altitude and camber changes and you’re all set.
Thanks, all! As an additional observation to what’s been said… I also imagine there is no suspension, so you would feel every nook and cranny in the road! As for stopping…do you pray the road has a long uphill stretch to slow you down??? Maybe - as far as suspension goes - the suit is padded?
