Thing is, I’d get it if it were just for attractiveness, but just bigger breasts? What would be the point? Yes, guys like big breasts, but they like them on already attractive women. The only time when bigger breasts make you more attractive inherently is in junior high or high school, when it’s a sign you’ve sexually matured.
There is some small percentage of pubescent women for whom bigger breasts would increase their attractiveness, but that percentage is much lower than 33%. You’d have to be right on the cusp.
Perhaps you are having difficulty with English, since not a single one of the quotes you list from me are mutually exclusive.
If it’s too complicated for you to understand and sort out the permutations related to the three success drivers (intelligence, personality, attractiveness) and where in those permutations larger breasts fit in,* may I suggest you spend your 10K on larger breasts?
Alternatively, if you’d like to point out something I’ve said which contradicts something else I’ve said, I’ll try to help you.
As an aside, I am not personally attracted to “big titties,” but apparently you also have trouble with comparatives and superlatives and have confused “augmentation” and “larger” with “large.”
*Hint: They may be a good fiscal calculus for someone who is otherwise attractive but not highly intelligent and who only has a 10K budget.
Where did I mention that you had trouble with comparatives and superlatives? Please point this out to me.
I love it in debates when the other side resorts to gratuitious insults. It’s a sure sign that the end is near.
Listen, I know you’ve been itching to work that “suggestion” into the conversation for days now. So I’m glad you finally got it off your chest. (ha!) I know it was meant to be a jab since I have small boobs, but I’m not remotely insecure about my body, so your words had no sting. I guess you could say your insult was… impotent.
So I wouldn’t trade intelligence for more boobage mainly I’m perfectly happy with both exactly the way they are. Larger boobs for me is something I would regard as a downgrade, but I’d imagine for most women, it would be equated with greater physical attractiveness. If I could exchange IQ points for greater physical attractiveness, I’d probably do it. I’m no braniac, but I’m smart enough that a slight reduction in intelligence wouldn’t be detrimental. I’d still be capable and competent, and being prettier only leads to good things. I suppose I could make myself prettier now with better styling, but I’m lazy. I’m holding out for the Skaldian hypothetical where Zeus, or whoever, allows me to magically swap a little bit of brains for a little more (natural) beauty.
After I suggested an otherwise attractive but flat-chested woman might have the best fiscal return from augmentation mammoplasty over education if her budget was 10K, you made this comment:
by PL:
*“Your article correlates attractiveness (among other things) with financial benefits. I cannot find mention anywhere in the article that “physical attractiveness” is defined as having large breasts.” *
That, and the “me like big titties” comment (not a gratuitous insult, I see?) suggest to me that you are unable to distinguish between “larger” breasts (compared with a flat chest) and “large” breasts (a completely different concept).
I would not advise anyone to get an augmentation mammoplasty that results in large breasts. Nor did I (as far as I remember) ever suggest large breasts were a particularly great idea as an optional attachment.
On the other hand, a nice augmentation to a full B or reasonable C for a flat-chested woman who is otherwise attractive will round out her physical appearance and possibly be a better bet than the same amount of money spent on education.
Now if she is intelligent, the calculus changes, because now the 10K on education might get her subsequent offers based on stellar achievement with the 10K (a scholarship offer, say).
But if she’s a flat-chested, otherwise attractive, run-of-the-mill intellect…well in that case I would not be surprised to see a better financial outcome by an augmentation mammoplasty to bump her from being attractive-but-flat to attractive-and-shapely. The latter category is definitely more of a seller’s market (see the article I linked), and if the woman’s goal is financial security, probably a better bet. Financial return might be expected either by having a broader choice of mates (your original jump-to assumption, I think), or simply being perceived as the “better” job candidate against less attractive people (see the article again for some speculation on why this happens).
I am glad that you are not insecure, and of course nothing in any of your responses so far even remotely suggests THAT.
Considering that there are a significant number of people who will regard her as dumber and less competent the more noticeable her breasts are, this is almost certainly false. I mean, unless you are only talking about erotic dancers? If that is the case, be advised that the number of women who wish to be erotic dancers is a rather low percent of the total population. It looks bad on most resumes.
My IQ was 135 when I was 12. I have no idea if it has gone up or down in the 21 years since then.
My breasts were a C cup when I was 12. I know for a fact that they have gone up since then (DD or F).
I’ll gladly trade by breasts for…having smaller breasts.
I this were GD, I’d ask for a cite. It appears to me you are simply parroting something you think might be correct, or possibly just making it up whole cloth.
You might want to look at the cite I gave PunditLisa earlier on the general correlation between the factors of attractiveness/personality/intelligence and financial success.
WRT breast size as a component of attractiveness, perhaps you’d be interested in educating yourself here. Many other studies are available should you decide to switch from opining to evidence-based comments.
From the article: “Female breasts are one of the secondary sexual traits that attract male attention and influence male judgments of attractiveness. Furnham and Swami showed that attractiveness ratings were even more strongly influenced by breast size than by buttock size (and hence WHR) when the female figure was presented in side view. Several characteristics may affect breast attractiveness, such as shape, asymmetry , areola size and pigmentation, but size is one of the most visible and possibly most “eye-catching,” especially in cultures where clothing conceals breast shape. This appears to have been confirmed by Lynn, who showed experimentally, for an American sample, that breast size matters more than breast shape in attractiveness rating.”
However, if you have some alternate research to offer, I’d be delighted to review it. Expanding the range of potential mates is only one factor in success. Attractiveness drives success in many other ways, and I encourage you to research them should you be interested in the topic.
I am telling you that for most men looking at most women, breast size is not usually the prime determinant in estimations of whether or not a woman is attractive, and your article does not disagree with me. In addition, I note that the question of how larger breasts may affect the preconceptions of female observers is something that you have apparently given no consideration to at all.
You have done a poor job of providing evidence for your speculative thesis.
Saying with any certainty that spending 10k on a boob job rather than a college degree is likely to lead to more earnings or a better life is just… whew. Crazy? Stupid? Totally unfounded in any reality I’m familiar with, including those suggested by scientific studies and anecdotal evidence? All of the above, I guess.
When I look at my circle of female friends and acquaintances, those with large or medium breasts are not any more successful financially, personally, or career-wise than those with small. This includes two who put themselves through college as strippers (one small-chested, one medium)! And if anyone is complaining about their chest reducing their quality of life in various ways (pain, difficulty exercising, unwanted sexual attention, difficulty finding clothes to accommodate their bodies in order to meet random supervisors ideas of ‘professional dress’, men treating them like a walking pair of tits and disregarding their personalities, accomplishments and potential) it’s the ones with big boobs.
