Trading Spaces 11/22 - Where's the pink?

Well, I wrote up an OP for this week’s ep. Dripping with wit and pathos it was. Truly, grown men would have wept and women rended their garments at the sheer genius of it.

Then the boards went down as I clicked POST.

All right, really it was a run-of-the-mill OP without a great deal of enthusiasm. Liked Anna’s room but would’ve liked the green a bit greener. Loved the eggplant and the stepped ceiling effect in Laurie’s room but installing the lights without testing them was amazingly stupid, Andrew Dan-Jumbo stupid. Hated the art piece placemat monstrosity in Laurie’s room.

Have we just run out of enthusiasm for discussing TS?

It was a re-run, wasn’t it?

Oh, the placemat art. That was the butt-ugliest thing I’d ever seen Laurie do.
At least she didn’t use yellow. Or butternut. Or maple sugar. Or goldenrod. Or citron. Or maize. Or acorn. Or any other version of freaking YELLOW.
I thought the non-working light fiasco was made worse by the fact that the lights looked like they would be hangnig directly over the heads of whomever was sitting on the ends of the sofa. It looked like if you stood up, you’d whack your head on one of them.

I really liked both rooms a lot.

The one thing I didn’t like was the placemat art. haha

Seems like I’m not the only one!!!

Really liked Anna’s room - now wishing my cable company got BBC America!

Omigod!! Lauri’s hair didn’t match the walls!! She almost clashed.

perhaps the hanging lights were some sort of brain swapping device… that could be why the light didn’t work.

i liked anna’s room, esp the fabric.

I want Anna all the time! (not that way! Just as a designer, really)

In any case, I watched this episode Sunday afternoon while quilting so didn’t really watch so much as listen and peek avery now and again.

In either case, I really liked Anna’s room, the whole TV behind the mirror thing was awesome! “What, just cut a hole in the wall?” “Yeah!”

Laurie’s was typicallaurie except for the noticable lack of yellow. It was nice to see her branch out into another color. And the placemat art was truly hideous.

The placemats were yellow.
