Stopped hell! She must be encouraged to do a Willie Wonka room! Stop someone on TV from getting a Willie Wonka room? Deprive ourselves of the sheer joy and terror that would result? Are you mad?!?
There aren’t enough  s for that one!!
I disagree on both counts. Dez had consistently some of the worst rooms and unhappy HO’s. All she seemed to focus on was the lamps, many of which were merely ok. She was the original one-trick pony. When she “left” TS was pretty popular, and a great career developer. Doug, Hildy and Vern probably have businesses which are much more involved then making cheesy lamps, and still stay. I wonder why? What did you expect her to say-- “I sucked and they canned me.” Of course she has a cover story, but come on, nobody really believes she needed more time for lamps do they?
Just like Alex (who left to “pursue other projects” aka unemployment for nearly a year) Dez seemed to have been quickly dumped by the producers.
You would think Kia would be sent off “to do other projects or focus on her business” excuse land, but alas no matter how bad she is, I think the producers feel they have to stick with her. And she does suck.
ROFL!!! I also liked on this episode when Kia said “mirrah” like she did 100 times on the “AOL mirror” episode and Ty just gave her a “cut the crap” look and said “MIRROR.”
God, do I ever hate Kia. With a passion! I personally don’t believe she’s a real designer. I’d bet dollars to donuts six months ago she was some crazy homeless person pushing a shopping cart filled with her gaudy tacky crap. They dragged her off the street because they needed a designer quick!
I remember I liked, what was his name? Steven maybe? He’s only been on maybe two or three times. Why can’t they get him to take Kia’s place? He had some nice elegant rooms.
And by the way, Vern is a god. A walking, talking, designing god. Vern, if you’re out there, give me a call! I’m blonde. And I’m petite! I’m only five feet tall! You’d tower over me! I’d be perfect for you! Come on! Call me baby!

According to the TWoP site, there’s good news and bad news about Kia.
She signed on to do eight episodes, and this was the 8th one.
She’s been signed to another season. Why her and not Edward?
Ah, his name is Edward, I checked on the TLC site.
Close, Stephi. Her father used to take her dumpster diving (I am not making this up) and the whole family would dress up in theme outfits.
Surprisingly and disturbingly, she’s done props and sets for Signs, The Sixth Sense, 12 Monkeys, Unbreakable and Beloved. She’s also had her own Philadelpha-based design firm for nine years. Un-be-lieveable.
And finally, another disturbing revelation from the book: “Kia’s not concerned whether viewers like her designs, as long as they’re entertained. She wants them to wonder ‘What in the world is Kia going to do next week?’”
Fine. Mission accomplished. Now go home.
Some people on TWoP did a little research and found that Kia was only a prop assistant (or something like that) on most of the films she lists as credits, meaning that her duties were limited to “Go straighten that vase.”
