I have been invited to a “soft” grand opening of a small Italian boutique. I would like to honor the owners (mother and daughter) with an arrangement of “Italian” flowers, whatever that means! Any ideas?
Italian Poppies? Can you get those from a florist?
Great site; thanks!
There are no particularly italian flowers. Or rather, there used to be, but they were brought all over Europe when the Italian-style garden came into fashion. Go with roses and you won’t go wrong. Or pick anything you like that is not orchids Just avoid chrysanthemums, as they’re considered suitable for funerals only.
As beautiful as they look, they are wild flowers of the fields. I dunno if a florist could have them.
