Trafacant and Hair

Sorry!
I either missed that thread or it came at a seriously inopportune moment. (I’ve had several of those in the last couple of years.) I don’t even recall seeing it.

While I appreciate your link, I’m still not convinced that a person in prison can’t be elected from the district, as long as they maintain a residence there.
Else, how do other Senate/Congress types do it? Do you have to come home so often to qualify?

sam, I’m down here in Delaware OH. But alas, I am but a highschool student too. So gimme the damn sasparilla!

Not really. The way the law works is that they give you the benefit of the doubt if you have a place in the area, and they presume you go there every once in a while. If you’re in jail in another state it’s proof that you aren’t ever at that residence and are therefore not an inhabitant. I think even Traficant has admitted that if he goes to jail out of state he wouldn’t be able to run. Still, even though loyalty runs deep in that district, there are a lot of you Akron folks there now, and Ryan has his own base in the Mahoning Valley. Would a sufficient amount of people really vote for a Congressman who wouldn’t be able to execute his duties? He has his loyalists, but are there enough?

Shonuff.

The whole Cincinnati/Cleveland rivalry starts to seem a bit academic when you consider that this state also contains the city of Youngstown.

What a shithole. Great bands, but still a shithole.

Why did I assume that if he was sent to jail that his career in politics would be over? He reminds me of Huey Long. He seems to be an interesting character… but the hair is unforgivable.

He’s still living in the 70;s.
Beam me up!

It looks like a VERY GOOD RUG.

Seriously-it doesn’t seem like it’s sitting there right…or rather, it IS sitting there.

Why do guys do this-and out of VANITY? They look better without it.

Seriously. At least, I think so.

Of course, someone might ask me why I just got my hair streaked…(of course, that was for fun!)

But I think, when I start to go grey, as long as it doesn’t look nasty and scummy, I’m not going to hide it. I think some grey looks good. When I did my internship, the woman I worked with had prematurely grey hair-and it looked really nice. Or Heloise-her hair turned silver when she was in her twenties-it’s quite striking.

Not to mention, as for natural hair-it COULD be a toupee made from natural hair. They do exist, you know?
