Trailer Park Boys 4.01 (spoilers)

Well, what can I say, The show has a new look and appearance.
Here are some thoughs:

things not so good.

  1. New film quality alters the pace of the show. leaves it feeling “scripted”.
  2. The story was also a bit bizarre, I say this because the first 3 seasons were character diven. This was all about the situation.
  3. The special effects (electrocution) were lame.
  4. Some of the site gags should be left as site gags, no explanation required. (hash hockey)
  5. What the hell is up with Julian, it’s not like him to be deceived like that, he is usually faster to the draw, he’s always 20 steps ahead of Lahey so he is for sure ahead of Ricky.

but there are some positive notes.

  1. Still the best programming on the air.
  2. Lahey getting taken down a couple of notches
  3. Ricky recruiting the bottle kids for his own ends.

Any other dopers watch this show?

Recruiting the bottle kids was great; I didn’t even know that it was possible to do that!! I thought that they just struck random targets, but recruiting them was a brilliant move by Ricky. Man was that a lot of bottles though!! :smiley:

Seeing Lahey being beat by Ricky is always a funny thing. “Fucking Lahey!!” Also, seeing Cory and Trevor abused by Ricky is pretty funny. I just don’t like those 2.

It looks like Julian stuck up for Jim while they were in prison. I heard Julian say that he lost a lot of friends because of him.

I don’t remember the electrocution part, when did that happen?

I guess the season is going to have Julian trying to go straight, while Ricky will just do what he does best.

Another funny part:
Lahey: I still have something that you don’t Ricky!!
Ricky: What’s that?
Lahey: My grade eleven!!

the electrocution happened when Ricky was trying to disconnect the trailer before julian got hope. It wasn’t so much as jacking power as fidling with the meter.

I heard julian say that about losing friends in jail too. I wonder what the deal is with that?

Here’s a “WTF?!” for ya!

The Sunday Province here in BC ran an article on the Trailer Park Boys. It was written by Dana Gee, the staff television critic and was in the form of a question and answer session with the boys. Actually, it was pretty good. Anyway, get this! The title of the article?

“The Straight Dope On the Trailer Park Boys”
