Where did you get the $2400 figure? I’ve shipped cars cross country for $750 before. If that figure is right, then it may cost you that amount just towing it, if you figure towing something that heavy over the rocky mountains will probably toast your transmission. You don’t say how many miles are on your Expedition, but I’d worry about the transmission failing during the trip, especially if it has high mileage.
