I was at a restaurant with a friend and her British fiance and I asked him if people with bad grammar in England make the same mistakes. He didn’t know…I actually think he was avoiding speaking to me, because a moment earlier, they were discussing the term “Half 8,” which he said is a way of saying 8.30 and he wondered if we said that in the states. I motioned to his salad and said “Only if you didn’t finidh your salad…then it’d be half ate.” He didn’t seem to get it, but snickered at politely as he could.
They have their own mistakes.
And so do Aussies, South Africans, Canadians, and Hong Kongers.
And the only common typo is mispelling mispelling
