Roomie got a DVD that says ‘Transfered from 65mm Elements’ on the box. (NB: ‘70 mm’ films are shot on 65 mm film – the camera original – and printed on 70 mm for distribution.) So someone reading the box might take ‘Transfered from 65mm Elements’ to mean that the whole DVD is from the camera original. But the ‘Elements’ part bothers me. (Well, it doesn’t ‘bother’ me; it just sets off the Cynictron.)
Would I be correct in assuming that parts of the DVD were made using camera-original film, and parts (perhaps the bulk of it) was made from a 70 mm print (or even a 35 mm print)?
