Transsexual Question

Well, well, what a very long thread. Lots of hate- and lots of support. Now let me say this- I am a male, and hetero. The male body, no matter how good looking, does not excite me at all. But I have had several short relationships with transgendered female-types, and there was no problem with my libido- “Mr. Happy” got the “Female” message, not the Male message. Of course, there are also a few transvestites who look far too masculine for me- but the same could be said of some female body builders and some very masculine dykes (can we use this word without offending gays? In SF it doesn’t seem to be a problem, but I hope it isn’t offensive to any here).

Possible TMI & NFBSK follows. Warning.

For those men who say “ewww”- trust me buddy, at least for oral sex, there are few women that can top a transgendered female-type. They have had the equiptment, they know what to do with it. They also seem to be more free with their sexuality, and also sometimes have the male “bee” attitude as opposed to the female “flower” attitude- with thanks to the King of Siam for this analogy.

However, I would ask discretely if I saw you, Eve- and was attracted. Why? Because many transgendered female-types are very cautious. They know that some men would react poorly if “surprised”. Thus, I would hint discretely that I “knew”- after we had “hit it off” for a bit. Seems to work for me, at least. I hope that wouldn’t offend.

As to the bathroom thing. Why have separate bathrooms at all? What is it about men that women don’t want to have them in the same bathroom? What is it about women that men don’t want them in the same bathroom? If it is because you don’t want someone who could be sexually excited by your state of nakedness, then I would guess that that would also mean that homosexuals should go into the “opposite” bathroom, right?

Personally, I have no problem sharing a restroom with women, or with transgendered, etc. I doubt if the sight of my penis is going to make them uncontrolably sexually excited. (large tho it may be <g>). Nor would the sounds of a woman making urination or defecation noises in a stall excite many men I know. I will admit that I might object to the liberal application of perfume (allergies, you know)- but the same goes for those awful mens aftershaves some use. Now THERE’S an “ewwww” for you.

Now, sure- there are men who would not be turned on by a transgendered female-type. And that’s OK- whatever floats your boat. I know some men who won’t go out with “fatties”, either. If “Mr. Happy” won’t “stand up & salute”- why waste everybodies time? But- just because they are not “your type”- you shouldn’t HATE them. Just don’t go out with them. More for me.

Apologies accepted in good faith.

link

This thread is a bit old, but that link answers a few question about transsexuals in history.

An update in reference to the link lee posted; the acquaintance I mentioned above turned up where I could ask about developments in the situation. I figured since I mentioned before, I’d post a note.

He says that the contents of the article are accurate – they were drawn from a written report made by someone who had a better vantage than he did, and that that report is the most detailed and accurate of any of the ones he’s seen so far. (Not all the details made it into the article; however, the article contained some direct quotes.) He also says that the police threatened to put two of the male protestors into rape situations while they were incarcerated (one gay, and the other, himself, probably perceived to be). He believes the ACLU has been contacted, but wasn’t directly involved in doing so. His arraignment, and I’m expecting probably many of the other protestors who were arrested, is coming up next week. (He confirms that they’re all scheduled between the 14th and the 29th.)

I’ll give him the URL to this comment once it gets posted, so that he can correct me further and/or keep track of follow-up comments.

i was going to blah…blah…blah…then i remembered a comment a m/f trans made
" you can explain but unless the other person is m/f trans it is just so many words"
my thoughts are why do strangers feel free to tell me i am…ugly, pervert.molester, etc…but the worst are the violent ones since 2008 16 assaults and for “daring to dress like a woman” at the edge of my apartment building driveway 2 males broke my arm while 20 are so neighbors cheered…like a commercial … but wait i also got when i asked please phone 911 " no you f##kin freak it is better you die… at about 2006 wife of 38 yrs walked out 4 kids said don’t contact us and don’t come near the g/children (8) i am not asking for pity… the above is a fraction of the negative i live with… you sit here and banter about our mental state and what not… i was going to ask do you really understand! it would be a dumb question…of coarse you don’t…to you it is just words…,…don’t try to dissect us …say hi. share some time over a coffee…i am just another soul on this journey who needs the same as you do…,…if social group ( all) marks a member as rejected they are cast out to suffer a slow death…now humans can reason…me , you? i think suicide as the answer not a defective answer , not having the strength, the conviction to end the suffering of slow death rather then end the marvel we call life with all it curtails to enjoy and celebrate my existence then without doubt or fear wondering what awaits all of us…“the transformation of death” with a heart overflowing with love

I am sorry for your pain, but you should notice that this conversation ended eleven years ago, since which time many of the posters in it have left or, in a number of sad instances, died.
