Travel tips: local idiosyncrasies, etc.

If a friend of yours was to visit some place (or places) where you live (or have lived), which peculiar qualities of the locale would you want to point out? For example:
– In Alabany, NY, where I’ve gone to school for the last 4 years, I should point out that Albany cab drivers are the single most corrupt set of people I have ever known. A handful of exceptions aside, they seem always ready and willing to cheat people. I hope I never have a heart attack in one of these cabs, because I wouldn’t trust the driver to do anything other than rifle through my pockets and dump me by the side of the road.

– In New York City, where I live, I would say . . . I dunno, “If you don’t jaywalk, you’re just going to look stupid.”
