The hot twins are firefighters and the hot friend John is a mortgage broker.
When the Southies finally decided to abandon the fight and go into Girard, they showed the Genworth Blimp over the college. I thought it would have been really funny if the crawl on the blimp read, “Bleep! Bleep! SHUT UP!!”
You’re likely right about that. In my defense, I was extremely tired last night, and my critical thinking skills were not at their sharpest.
So has anyone else been playing the online challenge? I’ve gotten the final phrase: Where is the early symbol laid out for reef" but I have no clue what it’s referring to. I checked the message boards on NBC, but those people…let’s just say I’m spoiled by the level of intelligence on the Dope. Anyone else care to exchange ideas?
That’s not the Genworth blimp. Genworth doesn’t even have a blimp.
I’m pretty sure it was a special effect. Which seems quite lacking in integrity for something which claims to be a reality show.
All of the Genworth Financial signs are added post-production. They’re clues for the online game.
Which is for the best, because if they did, and it were really flying over a building in Philadelphia … we Eagles fans would have probably thrown batteries at it. Or snowballs, depending on the weather, and whether it was wearing a Santa hat or not.
There’s a Hood blimp that’s a pretty common sight over Boston when the Red Sox are playing. Met Life has (or had) one. Blimps aren’t quite as rare as they once were. Genworth Financial could have a blimp, but I don’t think they do.
I just couldn’t resist the Goodrich reference, which nobody got anyway. (And I could have gone more obscure if I’d wanted.)
Well, yes, I do know that the Genworth stuff is all post-production, yadda yadda. I just meant the Faux Blimp-like Object. My point was simply that it would have been funny if the crawl was quoting the Southies and the hundred "Shut Up"s.
Never mind. I feel so misunderstood…<sniff>
It’s okay, honey. I thought it was funny.
Really? No one? No one is trying to win the $100,000 online? Or you just wanna keep it to yourself?
Yeah, but Matt R has such nice legs, and he wears those cute shorts.
Maybe it is a meta-puzzle, but if so, the quad is complete. IIRC, the week before was when the masks were buries way deep in the earth.
I thought about that as well. It doesn’t quite fit because the dirt itself wasn’t used to solve the puzzle but it’s interesting if intentional. Will the final solution have something to do with aether/quintessence?
Why couldn’t the CIA dude on the 22nd floor have called his team on the ground for the VISA number? He called them up just after being let in the door by the other team.
My guess is they were told they weren’t allowed to call before getting the door open on their own. But if that was it, why didn’t the show let the viewers know?
It’s another example of how the editing screws up this show. By not telling us he was constrained by rules, we’re left to assume he was just too stupid to use his phone.
The editing also kept us from knowing how many seconds CIA lost by. And, unless I missed something, kept us from having any idea what the Southies were so upset with each other about that they thought it was worth lollygagging about the grounds for a while before proceeding with the hunt. I couldn’t even tell which two were mad and which one was trying to get them to shut it.
The [hott] Brothers [Not Mc]Mullen – Martin and Matthew – were fighting, and their [hott] friend John was playing referee. And as someone who has high-strung and opinionated sisters, as well as 30+ first cousins on one side of the family alone, all of whom I’ve gotten into fistfights with at one time or another … does there really need to be a reason?
Well I dunno about the significance of the matching t-shirts. After all the Southies last night were pretty much all matching in black shirts and jeans. More so than I’d expect with any random group of guys let alone guys who are much “guys” as they are.
I thought about that, too, but I remember that as the same ep where they had to breathe on the mirrors. I guess I’m sort of leaning toward co-incidence rather than meta-puzzle, but the three in a row sure is interesting. (although, now that I think about it…a sailing ship is driven by the air in the water. The third ep featured a lighthouse: fire in the air. The second ep treasure was hidden under a black, glassy rock: fire in the earth. Ah, I’m probably overthinking it.)
I’ve never seen those little earbud phones before, so I concluded the teams were given one only after they got through the door. Your editing comment stands, though.
I have a thing about matching, as I mentioned in some other threads. (There is also another thread somewhere about the biggest embarrassment of my life [it involves non-matched unmentionables] but when I try to search my browser craps out, so perhaps someone else can provide that particular cite.)
Plus, I always wanted to be part of a team that had matching T-shirts. It seems so fawncy to me.
Has there been any news about this getting picked up for a second season?
