Trek Dopers! Enterprise Season 3 starts 9/10/03

Ah, I see what they’re doing. They’re foreshadowing the styles and colors of the TOS uniforms.

She’s still wearing pants though.

She probably wouldn’t mind the miniskirts, given the kind of pajamas she (barely) wears.

You know the outfit I really like? The white away team suit. That needs to be her new uniform.

Hoshi shouldn’t wear one at all.

Pirate hijack!

You’ll have to get past me first. I’ve never even seen 24 and I’m in love with her.

Spock. Help me, Spock.

I’ve decided to try linking to new threads instead of blatantly hijacking Trek threads (even tho all real Trek Dopers expect, even welcome, the hijicks).

:dubious:

Hey y’all. Would have posted earlier but I was spending a much-deserved week-long vacation in Chicago with my lovely wife. Forgive me for dragging this thread back to the original subject (not that I don’t enjoy Quantum Leap), but I’ve got a couple of nitpicks:

…And, uh, several million other people as well. It’s not like the Xindi came all the way to Earth just to kill Trip’s sister. That would be silly. It strains credibility for a mysterious ultra-powerful force to obsessively focus their efforts on one insignificant human… uh… never mind.

What-what-what? What kind of Trekker are you? Every good Enterprise-lovin’ fanboy knows that Shatner’s original series only lasted seventy-… uh… seventy… well, seventy-something. I do know at least it weren’t no one hundred and thirty four!

Oh, and y’know what that clip of T’Pol’s new outfit makes me think of? …Galaxy Quest. The laughably cheap original show whose flashback clips began the movie. Needless to say, that is not a good comparison.

I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do about the upcoming season. I’ll probably tune in for the premiere, but I’m not feeling very generous. I’ve found watching the show to be rather enervating, and occasionally infuriating, because what’s wrong with it is so obvious, and I don’t enjoy seeing so much money and talent being wasted on such a pointless… well, enterprise. I think I’ll keep them on a short leash, and if it looks like more of the same, I’m outtahere. Well, not here, exactly, because these threads are so entertaining; I just wouldn’t be watching the show. I admit, it’d be weird reading about shows I haven’t seen, with nothing to contribute except the occasional, “I told you so! Didn’t I tell you so? And guess what I did with my free Wednesday! I went rollerblading! And then I got a hooker and spread marmalade all over her Hoshis.”

I know we all hope it doesn’t come to that.

Seventy-nine. Even as a hater of all things TOS, I knew that.

Give us your pointed ears… you’re a disgrace.

I don’t know Aes Even those of us who feel that TOS had some pretty good points generally also acknowledge that some of the episodes toward the end of the last season were so abysmal that they make Automan look like classic sci-fi in comparison (remember that one, kids?). I believe that some Trekkers have tried to deny their very exestance. I think that’s where the confusion as to the total number comes in.

Fascinating.

Here it is!

The Xindi

Just 21 more days. :dubious:

Er… why? I know I’d be able to tell the Xindi all about the human race if they were to visit me while at work. Or not.

Could you tell them all about Peoria politics? Why don’t they ever run into ignorant red-neck aliens?

Klingon Red Neck: We dunno nuthin’ about them High Councils, we duz our own thang here! Bring out the Rapin’ Targs!
