ok since you asked for it, yes I think Tribes 1 is the best FPS ever created.
that said its hard to find a game and I am looking for something new that at least has a few things in common with T1.
good fast game play,
vehicles, I love flying around shooting stuff, driving around shooting stuff, generally shooting stuff.
would it be to much to ask for a jet pack outside of the tribes universe?
BF2 seems cool but I havent checked much out latley
any suggestions?

Err… Tribes 2? That’ s my favourite FPS of all time, and still has a good player base. Whether or not the gaming press’s conviction that the game was too buggy was ever true, it certainly isn’t now. Do you have some reason for discounting it?
The last Tribes game (whose name I forget) bombed because nobody played it. The servers were always empty. They also made the maps smaller, which didn’t exactly please fans.
UT2004 has big maps, vehicles and fast game play. That might be worth looking into. I loved Battlefield, but the only similarity is the massive maps.
I liked T2 well enough but gameplay was in some ways worse than T1, the planes with that weird hover on a pin head pivot like crazy instead of use wings and airfoils was just bizzare. might have to reload it though, its been a long time.
halo bores me. thats about all I can say, it seems like every weapon in the game is a one shot kill and the maps are so damn small nothing like spawning into death 3 or 4 times in a row to make your gaming day that much better.
UT I had forgoten about, have to check that out, and BF2 as well I suppose.
