Tripadvisor - how do I add a restaurant

For years, I’ve used tripadvisor as a source for decent hotels and restaurants. More or less, I’ve had good results, and I’ve felt mildly guilty about not putting in my two cents worth.

Back in December, while on a road trip, I had a pizza delivered to a hotel. Today, in the same town, I went to the restaurant. I was pretty pleased with both the delivery and the meal in the restaurant, and for whatever reason, decided it was time to register with tripadvisor and review the restaurant.

No such luck. Tripadvisor couldn’t find the restaurant. What am I doing wrong?

After the place is not found, there is a part where Tripadvisor should ask you all the info you have on the place, name address, phone number, website if they have one. Then they email you when the place is added to their data base. That’s my experience anyway.
