Bimbo Bakeries of Mexico, 17 years after its first acquisition, is now the largest baking corporation in the USA. For obvious reasons, none of the products produced by the US subsidiaries changed their names to Bimbo, except a few specialty items sold in ethnic stores where Mexican buyers have long-standing product loyalty to the famous Mexican Bimbo brand.
In 2010, Grupo Bimbo acquired Sara Lee bakeries, proving again that Nobody doesn’t like Sara Lee. Grupo Bimbo uses the Sara Lee brand name internationally except in Western Europe, and Australia and New Zealand. Grupo Bimbo also uses regional name brands it has acquired, including Rainbo.
RAINBO (Research Action and Information Network for the Bodily Integrity of Women) - alternatively RAINB♀ - is an international non-governmental organization working to eliminate female circumcision and female genital mutilation. It was founded in 1994 by a group of African immigrants to the United States including Nahid Toubia, Sudan’s first female surgeon. The organization has offices in New York City and London and works in Uganda, South Africa, The Gambia, and Nigeria.

Th use of the Mars and Venus astrological symbols for male and female dates back to taxonomist Carolus Linnaeus in 1751, who first used them to describe male and female parts of plants in cross-breeding.

The Greek Dark Ages occurred bertween the 13th and 9th centuries BC, during which no writings are known. Before that, the Greeks used the Mycenaean alphabet, and after revival, adapted the Phoenician alphabet, upon which the familiar Greed alphabet is based. However, the spoken language survived through the Greek Dark
Ages.
The Greek alphabet dates from the 8th century B.C. It is the first alphabet script to use distinct letters for both vowels and consonants.
The Cyrillic alphabet, which is used in most Slavic languages, is derived from the Greek uncial script, augmented by letters from the older Glagolitic alphabet, including some ligatures. These additional letters were used for Old Church Slavonic sounds not found in Greek. The script is named in honor of the two Byzantine brothers, Saints Cyril and Methodius, who created the Glagolitic alphabet earlier on. Kazakh high-altitude mountaineer Anatoli Boukreev summitted Mt. Everest 4 times. His 4th and final time was in May 1996 during the tragic climbing day of the 10th May when 8 climbers died. Jon Krakauer’s book, Into Thin Air documents the tragedy. On that day, Boukreev, after summitting Everest without supplementary oxygen and returning to the Camp IV, singlehandedly rescued five other climbers on two separate excursions from the high camp. Boukreev is the only Kazakh to have summitted Everest at least twice. Boukreev died in an avalanche on Annapurna the following year, on Christmas day.

At 11:40 a.m. on September 26, 2010,police received reports of a man falling 80 feet into the River Wharfe, at the village of Thorp Arch near Boston Spa, apparently having fallen from the cliffs above. The fall from a narrow footpath was witnessed by a man walking his dog nearby.10] A Segway vehicle was recovered and James William “Jimi” Heselden, owner of the Segway Company, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

A group of French Protestant Huguenots from Walloon, in Belgium, led by Jesse de Forest, were the fist settlers in what is now New York City, in 1624. They were honored by a 1924 issue of US postage stamps and a commemorative half-dollar coin.
De Forest Kelley appeared three times in scenes depicting this Gunfight at the O.K. Corral: first in 1955, where he portrayed Ike Clanton in the television series You Are There; again, two years later in the 1957 film of that name, playing Morgan Earp; and perhaps in an ironic salute, once again on October 25, 1968, in a third season Star Trek episode titled “Spectre of the Gun”, this time portraying Tom McLaury.

Lee de Forest was an American inventor, self-described “Father of Radio”, and a pioneer in the development of sound-on-film recording used for motion pictures. His most famous invention, in 1906, was the three-element “grid Audion”, which, although he had only a limited understanding of how it worked, provided the foundation for the development of vacuum tube technology.
The protagonists of the film Easy Rider are two freewheeling hippies: Wyatt, paid by Petet Fonda, nicknamed “Captain America”, and Billy, paid by Dennis Hopper. Fonda and Hopper said that these characters’ names refer to Wyatt Earp and Billy the Kid. Phil Spector play “Connection,” a man in a Rolls-Royce who give them a large sum of cash for smuggling cocaine from Mexico.
