When he was just 14, Frank Phillips persuaded a barber in Creston IA, near where they lived st the time, to take him on as an apprentice. Ten years later, he owned all three barber shops in Creston. Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is a rapid transit public transportation system serving the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Using both elevated rail and subway, BART connects San Francisco and Oakland with urban and suburban areas in Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Mateo counties. First opened in 1972, BART serves 48 stations along six routes on 112 miles of rapid transit lines. With an average of 423,000 weekday passengers and 124.2 million annual passengers in 2017, BART is the fifth-busiest heavy rail rapid transit system in the United States.

BART trains can travel at speeds of up to 80 mph, but they typically go no faster than 66-70 mph. BART construction officially began on June 19, 1964, and President Lyndon Johnson presided over the ground-breaking ceremony.

well, fudge.

I’ll play off of that!

In the late 17th century, fudge was a verb meaning “to fit together or adjust [clumsily].” Then around 1800, the word was used to mean a hoax or cheat. By mid-century, the use of the term “Oh, fudge!” as a kid-friendly expletive had come into favor, and was often used when something had been messed up. It’s believed that the first batch of fudge was created when someone was trying to make caramels and “fudged” up.
And… the name stuck.

Yippee ki-yay, mother fudgers!
